in tetrahydrofuran byproducts: NaI; under inert atmosphere, to mixt. of Co complex and THF added 2,4-diiodopentane, stirred for 2-4 h; hexane added to mixt., NaI removed by filtration, solvent removed undervac., chromd., solvent removed under vac., recrystd. from toluene/HMDS at -40°C, filtered, dried in vac., elem. anal.;
