hydrogenchloride; lithium methanolate; Pd2(PPh3)2Cl2 in tetrahydrofuran; water To a THF soln. of BrCHCHB(OPr-i)2 and PdCl2(PPh3)2 is added at 0°C a THF soln. of CH2C(OCH3)ZnCl, stirring at room temp. for 3 h, addn. of an aq. soln. of lithium methoxide and iodobenzene, refluxing for 15 h,addn. of aq. HCl, stirring 30 min.; Extraction with ether, drying the organic layer over MgSO4, removing the volatile part under reduced pressure, preparative tlc (silica gel, dichloromethane).;
