soln. of Ni salt in EG heated to 353-433 K with stirring, kept at this temp. for 30 min, aq. soln. of Na2CO3 added slowly (final pH ca 10), Ni(OH)2 ppt. aged for 1 h, filtered, washed, dried at 373 K overnight, calcined in air at 673 K for 4 h;
