in tetrahydrofuran a soln. of the borane in THF is added dropwise at -20°C to a soln. of NaMn(CO)5 in THF, stirred for 2 h at this temp., stirred for 1 h at 20°C, left to stand for 16 h; the soln. is decanted from the ppt., the solvent is evapd.,, Hg(Mn(CO)5)2 is obtained by crystn. from benzene-THF, the mother liquor is evapd., the residue is chromd.;
