in n-heptane byproducts: Fe(CO)5; stirring at room temp. for 3.5 h; removing the solvent, Fe(CO)5; extracting with acetone; removing acetone; hexane soln. was chromd., elution with hexane give first FeOs2(CO)12, further Fe2Os(CO)12; elution with benzene give H2FeOs3(CO)13; recrystn. from hexane for FeOs2(CO)12;
