in diethyl ether byproducts: KCl; 26 mmol GeCl4 in Et2O were added dropwise to a suspension of 109 mmol KCCC6H5 in Et2O within a period of 30 min; the mixt. was then refluxed for 20 h;; KCl was extracted in a Soxhlet apparatus and concd. in vac.; the residue was recrystallized from toluene/hexane (60:40); a further crop was obtained from the filtrate;;
