potassium-sodium in ethylene glycol dimethyl ether byproducts: KCl, NaCl; under dry N2, suspension of Na/K alloy (7.6gNa + 26.2g K) in 1,2-dimethoxyethane, dropwise addn. of soln. of benzoxazole at 20°C, suspension stirred 20h, dropwise addn. of Cl2BN(i-Pr)2 at 20°C, suspension stirred 24h, then refluxed 12h; filtered (NaCl, KCl), solvent removed (distd.), residue distd. or sublimed in high vac. (0.002mbar), recrystn. from hexane, elem. anal.;
