nBuLi; HCl in tetrahydrofuran; hexane (Ar), soln. of 4-bromotriphenylamine in THF cooled to -78°C, slowly treated with nBuLi in hexane, stirred at -78°C for 1 h, treated with 1.2 equiv. of B(OMe)3, stirred for 2 h; warmed to room temp., pH adjusted to 5-6 (aq.HCl), wxtd.(CH2Cl2), org. phase washed (H2O, brine), dried (Na2SO4), evapd., elem. anal.;
