NaK2.8 in pentane byproducts: NaBr, KBr; anhydrous and oxygen-free condns., addn. of B-compd. in pentane to alloy in pentane in such manner, that refluxing maintained for 5 h, refluxed for 3 h with stirring; filtered, pentane removed in vac., fractional distn.;
in hexane byproducts: Me3SiCl; under protective gas; solution of 1 equivalent Si-compound and 2 equivalents B-compound was refluxed for 1 h; cooling;; precipitate was separated, washed (hexane/CH2Cl2) and dried (vacuo); filtrate contains B(NMe2)3; elem. anal.;;
