in neat (no solvent) byproducts: Br2; other Radiation; PbBr2 heated in quartz crucible, cocondensation of PbBr2 gas with trifluoromethyl radicals generated from C2F6 plasma source (radio frequency, 100W) at -196°C and total pressure of < 2 Torr; sepn. and removal of Br2 and C2F6 by vac. distd., low yields obtained;

in neat (no solvent) passing CF3 radicals (pyrolysis of CF3COCF3 at 900°C, 2 Torr in a quartz tube) over Pb and condensation at -78°C;; not isolated; detected by IR spectroscopy, hydrolysis (aq. NaOH, formation of CHF3) and pyrolysis (formation of Pb);;
