in hexane byproducts: NH4Cl; Me3SiCl in hexane added dropwise at -50°C to liquid ammonia, ammonia removed in vacuo at the same temperature, cold solution decanted from the NH4Cl precipitate, soln. added to soln. of Me2Si(tBuN)2Sn in hexane, allowed to warm to room temp.; volatile substances removed, crude product purified by sublimation, elem. anal.;
