PdO in toluene stirring toluene soln. of (p-chlorobenzyl)pentacarbonylmanganese, p-tolyl isocyanide and anhydrous PdO (room temp., 18h, N2); in other case stirring (THF, without PdO, 1h, ambient temp., Ar), heating to 73°C (2 h), maintaining temp. (1h), cooling; reducing solvent (reduced pressure), dissolving (adding min. amt. of CHCl3), chromy. (silica gel), eluting Mn2(CO)10 and desired complex (5. band) with 1:9 ethyl acetate/hexane, eluting organic solid (1:4 ethyl acetate/hexane); elem. anal.;
