cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB); sodium hydroxide; tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS); sodium carbonate in water TEOS added to soln. of CTAB/NaOH, stirred at 40°C for 2 h, C6H4(OH)2/H2CO/Na2CO3 soln. reacted for 10 min, solns. mixed, vigorously stirred, aged at 85°C for wk, ppt. filtered, dried at 85°C, heated at 1000°C under Ar for 1 h; silica removed by HF;
