Gd(NO3)3*6H2O for 30 min, air-dried, heated at 850°C under vac. for 3 h, direct current arc-discharge at 150 Torr He; sublimation onto coldfinger at 750°C, washing with o-dichlorobenzene at 100°C, extd. in CH2Cl2 with tris(p-bromophenyl)aminium hexachloroantimonate, treated with AlCl3 in o-dichlorobenzene, filtered,washed with CH2Cl2, hexane, vac.-dried;
