hydrogen in tetrahydrofuran H2 was introduced into a flask containing a THF soln. of U-complex and 1-pentene (U-complex/H2/1-pentene = 0.1:2:6), soln. was stirred for 15 h at 20°C; 30percent of 1-pentene was converted into n-pentane; (1)H NMR analysis of the reaction mixt., pentane was detd. by GC anal.;
