in tetrahydrofuran soln. of o-MeOC6H4Li added to cooled (-100°C) soln. of Fe(CO)5 in THF under N2, stirred for 2 h at room temp., (Et3O)BF4 added followed with water while stirring vigorously; extd. into hexane, filtered through SiO2 and anhyd. Na2SO4, stripped of solvent, chromd.(SiO2(0.063-0.200 mm), ether/hexane (1/5)), 1st green zone was Fe3(CO)12, 2nd red band collected, solvent removed in vac.;
