n-butyllithium in diethyl ether; hexane
under N2 n-BuLi/hexane added at -50°C for 1 min, stirred for 8 min, cyclohexanone/ether added at -50°C, stirred for 10 min, allowed to room temp., hydrolysis with H2O; extd. (CHCl3), dried on Na2SO4, concd. in vac., dissolved in petroether, cooled to -30°C for crystn., recrystd. (petroether), elem. anal.;
