NaOH; CH3I in sodium hydroxide aq. NaOH; Addn. of Na2S*9H2O in aq. NaOH to an aq. soln. of Fe-complex and Na2S2O3*5H2O under N2, brief stirring, addn. of THF, filtn. of mixt., addn. of CH3I to the filtrate, stirring (30 min), a strong smell of CH3SH is detected.; Extg. (CH2Cl2), concg., chromy. (silica, CH2Cl2).;
