Soln. of CH2CHMgBr was added at -78°C to a suspd. AuBrSMe2 in Et2O followed by MeNC, mixt. was allowed to warm to -5°C;; Excess of Grignard was hydrolyzed at -5°C by NH4Cl soln., organic layer was sepd., dried, concd., cold pentane was added, crystals were obtained over 24 h; recrystd. at -78°C;;
