由萘经磺化而得。以萘为原料，用98%的硫酸作磺化剂，于160-166℃磺化而得。在磺化过程中，生成少量α-萘磺酸副产物，采用加热的方法，可使不稳定的α-萘磺酸于140-150℃水解脱去磺酸基，成为萘及硫酸，用水蒸气即可将萘吹出。在水解吹萘时，要加少量碱液，以中和部分硫酸。它同时也与萘磺酸作用，生成β-萘磺酸钠盐结晶，经过滤即得成品。 | |
